Feeling overwhelmed by the news? You’re not alone. One of the most powerful tools citizens have in a democracy is also one of the simplest: speaking directly to our elected representatives.
Join us for a community letter-writing evening where we’ll turn concern into constructive civic action.
Participants will have the opportunity to write letters to members of Congress about several current issues, including congressional war powers, government transparency, voting access, healthcare policy, and federal oversight.
No prior experience is necessary. We’ll provide everything you need, including:
Brief issue summaries to help you understand the topics
Guided letter templates to help you get started
Volunteers available to help you structure your thoughts
Envelopes and mailing supplies
Options for digital submission as well
Whether you write one letter or several, your voice matters. Congressional offices track and log constituent correspondence, and personalized messages are an important way for communities to communicate their priorities.
This event is designed to be welcoming, respectful, and focused on meaningful civic participation. Come as you are, bring a friend, and help turn concern into action.
Location: Pickles Playland
Date: Thursday, Mar 5
Time: 7 - 9 PM
Let’s build civic muscle together.
