WHO IS INCOGNERDO?
Incognerdo is a grown-up geek social club for people who love the things they love—and want to find other people who get it.
We celebrate all things nerdy: movies, TV, books, games, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, cosplay, collectibles, nostalgia, technology, tabletop games, and whatever wonderfully specific thing you're currently obsessed with.
We're mostly women-centered, but we're not women-only. Most of our events are women-only because sometimes we need spaces where we can show up, let our guard down, and connect without having to explain ourselves.
All women are women. Period.
Incognerdo is proudly and enthusiastically LGBTQIA+ friendly, and we don't tolerate racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, or any other flavor of bigotry.
Our community is built on the belief that everyone deserves a place to belong.
WHY INCOGNERDO EXISTS
Nerd culture has always had a little bit of “not belonging” baked into it.
A lot of us found our people in the things other people didn't understand. We were the weird kids. The geeks. The gamers. The ones who cared way too much about something everyone else thought was ridiculous.
And honestly?
We like being on the fringe.
What we don't like is gatekeeping.
You don't have to have been a nerd since childhood. You don't need an encyclopedic knowledge of a fandom. You don't need the right credentials, the right collection, the right costume, or the right opinion.
You just have to love something.
Incognerdo exists to give grown-ups a place to find each other, celebrate the things that make us happy, and build friendships around the wonderfully weird stuff we're passionate about.
THE ONLY RULE
DON'T YUCK SOMEONE ELSE'S YUM.
You don't have to love what someone else loves. You don't even have to understand it.
But if it makes somebody happy, let them have their joy.
Our one exception?
The yum has to involve consenting adults. 😉
We can debate fandoms. We can disagree about which captain is best. We can passionately defend our favorite characters, ships, games, books, or extremely questionable fictional crushes.
Just don't be an asshole about someone else's joy.
There's room at the table.

WHAT HAPPENS AT INCOGNERDO?
We get together.
Sometimes there's a game. Sometimes there's a movie. Sometimes we're making something, learning something, drinking something, or arguing passionately about something completely inconsequential.
The common denominator is simple:
We're together.
Incognerdo events are about connection first and fandom second. The fandom gives us something to talk about.
The people are why we keep coming back.
FIND YOUR FANDOM.
You don't have to know anyone when you walk through the door.
You just have to be willing to say:
“Oh my god, you love that too?”
That's how it starts.
